Football Games
The Marchng Band and Guard shine on the field — at competitions and under the Friday night lights. At home games, the band performs in the stands and takes the field at halftime with their show. At away games, they play in the stands to support the team but do not perform at halftime. Football games are one of the most exciting ways our students showcase school spirit and pride.
What to Expect
-
Pre-Game Meal: Around 4:30, a parent volunteer provides dinner for the band.
Getting Ready: Students head to the band room to change into uniform and gather instruments.
Halftime Performance: The band and color guard take the field to perform their show.
Third Quarter Break: Parents provide drinks and snacks for both our students and the visiting band before everyone returns to the stands to cheer for the football team and cheerleaders.
Post-Game Tradition: At the end of every game — win or lose — the woodwinds lead the band in playing the Haddonfield alma mater song.
Dismissal: After the game, students return to the band room, change, and are dismissed.

The band does not attend every away game, especially if it conflicts with the competition schedule. Ms. Fisher will notify students in advance if the band is attending. When they do, transportation is provided by bus, and students return to HMHS for pickup. Please note: no band meal is served on away game days.
